Among other research, it specialises on the EU\u2019s relations with the eastern region, Central Asia and the Eurasian Union. The Centre brings together leading international academics from politics and international relations, economics, law, business and European culture in order to explore the contemporary policy challenges to Europe and its nation states. GEC has a strong track record of engagement with policy-makers in the UK, Brussels and national governments of east European countries.\u00a0 The Centre runs high level consultancy and professional development programmes as well as learning, teaching and knowledge exchange activities and GEC Student Forum.\u00a0 The GEC is based within the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/politics\/\">School of Politics and International Relations (SPIR)<\/a>\u00a0and at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/brussels\/\">Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS)<\/a>, University of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>University of Tartu<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ceurus.ut.ee\/\">Centre for EU-Russia Studies<\/a>\u00a0<strong>(CEURUS)<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ut.ee\/en\">University of Tartu<\/a>, Estonia is a multidisciplinary centre for research and teaching. It serves as a contact point for scholars, students and experts who share an interest in the evolving relationship between the European Union and the Russian Federation. CEURUS coordinates and sponsors a variety of activities related to research, teaching and public outreach. Building on Tartu\u2019s long history as a meeting place of ideas and cultures at the border of Europe and Russia, the Centre welcomes international students into its study programmes and is open to cooperation with scholars from both the East and the West. CEURUS is based within the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.skytte.ut.ee\/en\">Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies<\/a>, University of Tartu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Uppsala University<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucrs.uu.se\/?languageId=1\"><strong>Uppsala Centre for Russian and Eurasian Studies<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>(UCRS)<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uu.se\/en\/\">Uppsala University<\/a>\u00a0is an integrated multi-disciplinary long-term research programme with an in-depth focus on recent developments in Russia and in the post-Soviet space. It is designed to meet the highest international standards of scientific excellence and spans across the humanities and the social sciences, as well as law and theology. Recognising the strategic importance that developments in Russia and the post-Soviet space have to society and to the business sector, UCRS is designed to serve not only as a centre of scientific excellence, but also as national resource centre.
