Preparing for the Virtual Careers Fair
15th October – 11:30am – 12:00pm
This year’s careers fair will take place via the free CareerFair Plus app where you can view exhibitor profiles, the opportunities on offer and book 1-2-1 chats with recruiters in a virtual meeting room. This session covers a few practical basics such as where to find the exhibitor list and how to book a 10 min appointment, but also how to do your research and what to talk about!
Teach First Opportunities and Q&A Session
15th October – 11:00am – 12:00pm
Join this session to hear about the Teach First Training Programme, a Times Top 100 graduate programme, as well as opportunities to get involved as an undergraduate. Hear directly from a recruiter and have the opportunity to ask questions about the programmes and the recruitment processes.
Video interview skills
15th October – 4:00pm – 5:00pm
As more employers use online tools in their recruitment process learn how to present yourself well in a video interview.
University of Kent Virtual Careers Fair
20th October 10am – 4:00pm
The Virtual Careers Fair is an opportunity for students of all degree subjects to meet with exhibitors offering a variety of graduate and undergraduate opportunities, ranging from Graduate Schemes, Year in Industry placements and Summer Internships to Insight Days.Download the CareerFair Plus app for free to browse the exhibitors and book 1-2-1 chats with recruiters in a virtual meeting room. Appointments are being offered throughout the day so students can choose a time that suits them. The exhibitor list is on the CareerFairPlus app and bookings for 1-2-1 appointments are now open.

Study Plus – Emotional Intelligence by Ali Whelan

An overview of Emotional Intelligence and how it underpins personal effectiveness. Students can expect to come away understanding the 5 elements of EI; The importance and impacts of EI in the workplace and for career building, actions they can take to increase their own EI.

Wellbeing Cafe
26th October 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Meet with other students online for mental health support, games and creative pursuits. We will explore general mental health themes such as dealing with anxiety and managing your mood, whilst providing the opportunity to connect with other students, in a friendly informal setting.
