We are delighted that you have chosen to come to the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Kent and we look forward to meeting you in person and helping you to settle in as smoothly as possible.
There is lots planned for your first week at the School. We are excited to have a talk by Team GB Paralympic athlete, John Smith on Thursday. Before that, you will have met your Head of School and other lecturers and been given an outline of your programme. There’ll also be coffee and cake for you and your new course-mates, and chances to test your knowledge at the ‘meet your tutor’ pub quiz. You can also test your reflexes in Dodgeball game against your tutors and fellow students! Finally, you pick up your ‘school uniform’, ready for your first full week at Kent.
Alongside School activities, don’t miss the Welcome BBQ or the Freshers’ Fair. The Fair is run by your students’ union and showcases some of the fantastic clubs and societies you can join. You can also go on a guided tour of the campus, discover how our magnificent library works, and get to grips with the online platforms we use at Kent.
We know you’ll have a great time in Welcome Week, but if you have any questions or need help, just get in touch with our Student Support Officer Michaela Fullman m.j.fullman@kent.ac.uk
