PhD student wins 5th best Oral Presentation in the Young Investigators Award

PhD student Ryan Norbury won 5th best Oral Presentation in the prestigious Young Investigators Award at the European College of Sports Sciences annual congress.

One of the key objectives of the European College of Sports Sciences (ECSS), as stated on their website, is the promotion of young scientists and the fostering of state-of-the-art research. The ECSS established the Young Investigators Award for this purpose.

Ryan’s presentation titled, Experimental muscle pain reduces endurance and maximal strength via centrally mediated mechanisms, forms part of a series of studies in his PhD which explores how exercise-induced pain may contribute to neuromuscular fatigue.
