On July 10th we held the Sports Therapy, Physical Activity and Health Research Group’s ‘Translating Research into Practice’ Symposium at the Royal Dockyard Church Lecture Theatre. We had over 80 registrations with multidisciplinary background from the UK and overseas, including a group of physical therapy students from the University of Rhode Island, USA. The event was free attendance for our students and clinical supervisors. The talks covered areas including smart wearable technology, antigravity rehabilitation programmes, Parkinson’s disease exercise classes, psychobiology of physical activity, sport-related concussions, healthier generations and research updates from the School.
