{"id":312,"date":"2022-05-20T15:31:27","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T14:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentfood\/?p=312"},"modified":"2022-05-20T15:31:27","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T14:31:27","slug":"work-at-the-lambeth-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentfood\/2022\/05\/20\/work-at-the-lambeth-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Work at the Lambeth Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Are you looking to earn some extra money this summer?<\/p>\n<p>The Commercial Services &amp; Estates <strong>catering team<\/strong> are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to lend a hand at this year\u2019s <strong>Lambeth Conference (18 July \u2013 10 August)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-315\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentfood\/files\/2022\/05\/Lambeth-Recruitment-1.jpg\" alt=\"Member of staff helping at an outside event\" width=\"1187\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the Lambeth Conference?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meeting around every ten years since 1867, the Lambeth Conference is an international meeting of Anglican bishops convened by the Archbishop of Canterbury.<\/p>\n<p>The conference takes place across venues at the University of Kent, Canterbury Cathedral, and Lambeth Palace during the British summer of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Over six hundred bishops (and their partners), from all over the world, will travel to the conference.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-319\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentfood\/files\/2022\/05\/lambeth-6.jpg\" alt=\"bishops at the Lambeth conference\" width=\"1044\" height=\"745\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What roles are available?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To ensure the Lambeth Conference is a success, the catering team are looking to recruit extra <strong>Food and Beverage Assistants<\/strong> and <strong>Bar Bistro Supervisors<\/strong> to help deliver a professional and memorable catering experience.<\/p>\n<p>Duties will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages.<\/li>\n<li>Providing first class customer service.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy.<\/li>\n<li>Working within a team to provide a high-quality catering experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants must have a can-do attitude, bags of energy, and be willing to muck in!
