David Chadwick, Simon Thompson, Richard Jones and Omid Hajilou, along with other university colleagues,\u00a0set off from Paris on Tuesday 1 September as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/50\/celebrate\/projects\/goldstein-rides.html\">50th Anniversary Goldstein Cycle Rides<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>David said: &#8216;We will start on Tuesday afternoon with a 30-40\u00a0mile trip around Paris and its environs, before setting out on our\u00a0return journey on Wednesday morning. We expect to arrive on campus\u00a0around 2pm Saturday.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The mobile phone app and accompanying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.kent.ac.uk\/about\/fifty\/ParisToCanterbury\">web site<\/a> written by MSc\u00a0students will track the cyclists&#8217; \u00a0heart rates, speeds and cadence.
