{"id":667,"date":"2015-06-03T17:08:27","date_gmt":"2015-06-03T16:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=667"},"modified":"2018-05-14T11:07:57","modified_gmt":"2018-05-14T10:07:57","slug":"film-crews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2015\/06\/03\/film-crews\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyber security research &#8211; from Kent to Thailand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The School of Computing has hosted two film crews in an afternoon, both interested in the cyber security work of the School.<\/p>\n<p>Lecturer Julio Hernandez-Castro was asked his opinion on\u00a0a new Kent County Council\u00a0campaign to <a href=\"https:\/\/kccmediahub.net\/kcc-trading-standards-help-fight-cybercrime745\">help fight cybercrime<\/a> for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentonline.co.uk\">KM online<\/a> video.<\/p>\n<p>He was also interviewed about his research for a programme called <em>Inside UK Education<\/em> which will be shown in Thailand as part of its long-running <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plat360.com\/tvprogram_en.php\">World 360 degree<\/a> documentary series.\u00a0The purpose of this project is to promote UK education in Thailand,\u00a0particularly to\u00a0major funding bodies,\u00a0such as the military academies and the Thai Student\u00a0Office.<\/p>\n<p>For both interviews the School&#8217;s makerspace &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/unikentshed?fref=ts\">The Shed<\/a>&#8216; was used as a filming location.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The School of Computing has hosted two film crews in an afternoon, both interested in the cyber security work of the School.
