A \u00a3500 prize is on offer to first year School of Computing students who can demonstrate that their plans for the summer will make them more employable.<\/p>\n
The prize is being offered by employer Kinetic Solutions, who has a longstanding relationship with the School and has offered employment to placement student and graduates.<\/p>\n
Stage 1 students are asked\u00a0to outline a plan for \u00a0something they want to do over the forthcoming summer that will aid their overall employability.\u00a0 This could be working, but could also be about developing a new skill (technical or otherwise), travelling or volunteering.\u00a0\u00a0Students don\u2019t have to use the \u00a3500 itself, which is the prize money.<\/p>\n
The prize was launched to\u00a0Canterbury students by Chris Wildsmith,\u00a0MD of Kinetic Solutions,\u00a0and will be presented to\u00a0Medway students on Monday 9 March.<\/p>\n
The deadline\u00a0for entries\u00a0is 20\u00a0March. Students should send their\u00a0ideas on how they\u00a0will spend their\u00a0vacation time to summerbuzz@kineticsolutions (two sides of A4 or three\u00a0slides max).<\/p>\n
