{"id":2737,"date":"2021-02-03T10:17:25","date_gmt":"2021-02-03T10:17:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=2737"},"modified":"2021-02-03T10:17:25","modified_gmt":"2021-02-03T10:17:25","slug":"interdisciplinary-quantum-physics-panel-event-tuesday-9-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2021\/02\/03\/interdisciplinary-quantum-physics-panel-event-tuesday-9-february\/","title":{"rendered":"Interdisciplinary Quantum Physics Panel Event &#8211; Tuesday 9 February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/physockent\">Physoc<\/a>, the Physics Society at the University of Kent, are hosting an interdisciplinary <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/discover-stem\/2021\/01\/28\/live-quantum-physics-panel-event\/\">Quantum Physics Panel<\/a> on Tuesday 9 February 2021 at 6pm, featuring<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/computing\/people\/3060\/perez-delgado-carlos\"> Carlos Perez Delgado<\/a>, Lecturer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/computing\">School of Computing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The panel, which will explore quantum mechanics from the point of view of Physics, Philosophy, Quantum Computing, and Mathematics, will include chairs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/physical-sciences\/people\/462\/carr-sam\">Dr Sam Carr<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/physical-sciences\/people\/466\/m%C3%B6ller-gunnar\">Dr Gunnar M\u00f6ller<\/a> (Physical Sciences) and panellists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/mathematics-statistics-actuarial-science\/people\/414\/www.kent.ac.uk\/mathematics-statistics-actuarial-science\/people\/414\/dunning-clare\">Dr Clare Dunning<\/a> (SMSAS), Carlos Perez Delgado, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/european-culture-languages\/people\/1686\/forbes-graeme-a\">Dr Graeme Forbes<\/a> (Philosophy), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/physical-sciences\/people\/359\/strange-paul\">Professor Paul Strange<\/a> (Physical Sciences) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/physical-sciences\/people\/1006\/mason-nigel\">Professor Nigel Mason<\/a> (Physical Sciences).<\/p>\n<p>The event is free to attend and open to all, and will be streamed live on YouTube, here:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BNHn465nZec\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BNHn465nZec<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Current Kent students can also visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/696926887682977\">Physoc\u2019s Facebook Event<\/a> for details to on how to join the event.
