Advent of Code is an Advent calendar of small programming puzzles for a variety of skill sets and skill levels that can be solved in any programming language.<\/p>\n<p>Over 40 staff and students were pitched against each other in a series of programming tasks. The winners were presented with specially designed badges, made in the school&#8217;s makerspace <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.kent.ac.uk\/makerspace\/index.html\">The Shed,<\/a> at a society event on 28 January by the Head of School, Dr Richard Jones.<\/p>\n<p>The winners were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First prize \u2013 Bartek Kardafer<\/li>\n<li>2nd prize \u2013 Jospeh Cordel<\/li>\n<li>3rd prize \u2013 Jacob Pake<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to everyone who took part.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Computer Science Society at Canterbury took part in Advent of Code in the run up to Christmas.
