{"id":226,"date":"2013-09-09T15:19:26","date_gmt":"2013-09-09T14:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=226"},"modified":"2017-11-23T11:22:22","modified_gmt":"2017-11-23T11:22:22","slug":"cybercrime-research-in-the-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2013\/09\/09\/cybercrime-research-in-the-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Cybercrime research in the news"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Research undertaken by the School of Computing into the extent of cybercrime and its risk to the UK population has been covered extensively by the national press.<\/p>\n<p>Articles appeared in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2013\/aug\/23\/cybercrime-hits-nine-million-uk-web-users\" target=\"_blank\">The Guardian<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2401285\/Cyber-crime-1-5-Brits-e-mail-social-network-bank-accounts-hacked.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Daily Mail<\/a>, The Times Online, The Independent, The Sun and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.itv.com\/news\/meridian\/update\/2013-08-23\/new-figures-reveal-extent-of-cybercrime\/\" target=\"_blank\">ITV<\/a>.
