{"id":1778,"date":"2018-11-09T14:40:29","date_gmt":"2018-11-09T14:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=1778"},"modified":"2018-12-19T16:44:08","modified_gmt":"2018-12-19T16:44:08","slug":"funded-phd-project-in-machine-learning-for-portfolio-optimisation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2018\/11\/09\/funded-phd-project-in-machine-learning-for-portfolio-optimisation\/","title":{"rendered":"Funded PhD Project in Machine Learning for Portfolio Optimisation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.kent.ac.uk\/\">School of Computing<\/a> is currently inviting applications for a three-year<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/postgraduate\/283\/computer-science\"> funded PhD studentship<\/a> in Machine Learning for Portfolio Optimisation,<\/p>\n<p>The research, partially funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthobjects.com\/\">Wealth Objects Ltd<\/a>, will be supervised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.kent.ac.uk\/people\/staff\/mk451\/\">Dr Michael Kampouridis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The student will be registered as a full-time student at the University of Kent with occasional meetings with Wealth Objects Ltd as they have a particular interest in the area of portfolio optimisation.<\/p>\n<p>The School is a welcoming and supportive environment that has been recognised with a Bronze <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/human-resources\/athenaswan\/\">Athena SWAN<\/a> award.
