This extra year can be taken after stage 2 or the final year of a students\u2019 current\u00a0degree programme.<\/p>\n<p>The Year in Computing will especially be of interest to you if;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you are\u00a0interested in studying computing AND your current degree,<\/li>\n<li>you would like to get prepared for a career in tech,<\/li>\n<li>you are interested in exploring the frontiers of your subject and computing,<\/li>\n<li>you want to learn how to be creative with computing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Year in Computing\u2019s cohort of students have come from a wide range of academic disciplines and have been very positive about learning computing in addition to their original degree.<\/p>\n<p>In anonymous feedback students listed the aspects of the programme they liked, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>when my code actually works<\/li>\n<li>the range of different subjects\/information behind Computing<br \/>\nlearning different programming languages<\/li>\n<li>the\u00a0photo examples in lectures<\/li>\n<li>engaging with my lecturers both in and out of classes<\/li>\n<li>I really understand the content and don&#8217;t feel stupid for asking questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications are now open.
