{"id":1722,"date":"2018-10-22T16:10:57","date_gmt":"2018-10-22T15:10:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=1722"},"modified":"2018-10-22T16:10:57","modified_gmt":"2018-10-22T15:10:57","slug":"kirccs-public-engagement-event-in-cyber-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2018\/10\/22\/kirccs-public-engagement-event-in-cyber-security\/","title":{"rendered":"KirCCS Public Engagement Event in Cyber Security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Cyber Security (<a href=\"https:\/\/cyber.kent.ac.uk\/\">KirCCS<\/a>) at the University of Kent, representing the University of Kent as a UK government recognised ACE-CSR (Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research), will host its first Public Engagement Event in Cyber Security at the Canterbury campus on Wednesday 5th December 2018 from 1-6pm.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be opened by Prof Karen Cox, the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University, at 2.30pm after a buffet lunch reception, together with posters, stands, and demonstrations on various topics in Cyber Security.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also include a talk by Prof Philippe De Wilde, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research &amp; Innovation of the University, on the University&#8217;s activities, achievements and future plans in research and innovation.
