{"id":1703,"date":"2018-10-03T14:34:39","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T13:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=1703"},"modified":"2018-12-18T12:10:25","modified_gmt":"2018-12-18T12:10:25","slug":"chinese-embassy-visit-to-school-of-computing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2018\/10\/03\/chinese-embassy-visit-to-school-of-computing\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese Embassy visit to School of Computing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 28th September, Minister Counsellor Yongli Wang from the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China visited the University of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>During a meeting concentrating on research he was greeted by Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research &amp; Innovation Professor Philippe De Wilde, with assistance from Dr Caroline Li of the School of Computing.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Shujun Li was invited to give a presentation about the Kent Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Cyber Security (KirCCS) and School of Computing to the Minister, and Professor Ian McLoughlin was also in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting celebrated the excellent links between the University of Kent and China that already exist, and considered methods of further enhancing those activities in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 28th September, Minister Counsellor Yongli Wang from the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China visited the University of Kent.
