{"id":150,"date":"2013-05-15T13:41:30","date_gmt":"2013-05-15T13:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/?p=150"},"modified":"2013-05-22T13:43:30","modified_gmt":"2013-05-22T13:43:30","slug":"john-crawford-presented-with-teaching-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/unikentcomp-news\/2013\/05\/15\/john-crawford-presented-with-teaching-award\/","title":{"rendered":"John Crawford presented with teaching award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lecturer John Crawford has been presented with the <a href=\"http:\/\/kentunionteachingawards.wordpress.com\/shortlistandthanks\/\">Kent Union Teaching Award<\/a> for the sciences faculty.<\/p>\n<p>The popular winner was announced at the Kent Union Awards 2013 ceremony on 15th May in the Gulbenkian Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony celebrated the achievements of students for the outstanding work they undertook whilst members of Kent Union clubs and societies. The event also recognised the contributions of the University\u2019s teaching staff, with awards for \u2018Best Teacher\u2019, \u2018Fantastic Feedback\u2019 and \u2018Teaching Employability\u2019, nominated and voted for by the students. A total of 3,777 nominations were received from students making 2013 the most successful year so far.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Murray, Kent Union Vice-President (Education) said:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kent Union Teaching Awards recognise the tremendous impact that your academic and professional service staff have on your studies and lives every year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Kent Union Teaching Awards recognise and reward those academics who are committed to delivering excellent teaching for their students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lecturer John Crawford has been presented with the Kent Union Teaching Award for the sciences faculty.
