It has been ranked 25th out of 105 UK CS departments in the <a title=\"Complete University Guide 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Complete University Guide 2014<\/a> \u2013 a rise of eight places from last year.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Kent has been ranked 28th out of 124 UK institutions \u2013 up five places from last year.<\/p>\n<p>This rise, combined with the University&#8217;s third place for overall satisfaction in the most recent National Student Survey (2012) and other recent league table achievements, including a ranking of 22nd in the 2013 Guardian University Guide and 28th in the Sunday Times League Table 2013, confirms Kent&#8217;s position in the top tier of UK universities.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2007, the Complete University Guide offers comparisons between UK universities on a wide range of criteria including strength of research, student satisfaction, entry standards, staff\/student ratio, spending on academic services, campus facilities, completion rates, good honours and graduate prospects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The School of Computing continues its upward trend in the league tables.
