His <a href=\"https:\/\/kar.kent.ac.uk\/55156\/1\/oliveira-gecco2016_preprint.pdf\">paper<\/a>\u00a0was cowritten by Dr Gisele Papa Lobbo, a former School of Computing PhD, and Dr Luiz Otavio Oliveira.<\/p>\n<p>The theoretical research entitled <em>A Dispersion Operator for Geometric Semantic Genetic Programming<\/em>\u00a0won the best paper in Genetic Programming, which is a branch of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Fernando said: &#8216;This paper received the best paper award since it provides a significant\u00a0advance in genetic programming.
