Academic vacancy: Lecturer in Computing

The School of Computing is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Computing who can help us to deliver an excellent standard of education across a range of undergraduate programmes in computer science. The deadline for applications is Sunday 14 March 2021.

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver lectures, practical classes, small-group teaching, project supervision and student support, and will have responsibility for setting and marking assessments and exams. The role is permanent and full time, and we particularly welcome applications from female candidates as they are under-represented at this level in this area.

The appointee will help us to build on our success in the last REF exercise when we were ranked in the top quartile of 89 Computing departments across the country, coming 12th by Research Intensity.

We invite applications from candidates with research interests that can complement or enhance the School’s existing research strengths. This spans a broad range of computer science and is organized into 4 large and active research groups:
