School of Computing alumnus Krishnan Patel has been interviewed by the Renault Formula 1 Team about his experiences on their graduate programme.
Krishnan studied BSc Computer Science with a Year in Industry at Kent and now works as a Software Developer (Aerodynamics) for the Renault Formula 1 Team.
In the interview, Krishnan describes his role within the company, explaining that his team creates and develops software used in the aerodynamics department, which helps engineers to analyse wind tunnel and trackside data.
Krishnan also offers some advice for those pursuing a career in F1: ‘The advice I’d give is to be technically competent, show how [applicants] have applied what they’ve learnt at university, and in their own time, to different projects, and have the ability to translate complex ideas into something the whole team can understand’.
