Dr Jim Ang, who recently joined the School of Computing from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, joined BBC Radio Kent to discuss the social benefits of gaming and how it could bring the family together during the pandemic.
Dr Jim said “many games are now designed to have a social element to get people together to talk and do stuff together and do imaginary things in a shared world”
He discussed how gaming is no longer just for the young but can bring different generations together and during the pandemic it has been good for mental health for people to escape into another world.
