School of Computing moves to one campus

We will be relocating the teaching of all Medwaybased computing programmes to the Canterbury campus from September 2021.  All of the computing research activities will move to Canterbury at the same time, so that the entire School of Computing will be based on the one campus.

This move, to the larger of our two campuses, will allow us to provide more facilities, study and social space for staff and students. It will also consolidate our academic community and allow greater collaboration between the different research groups.

By consolidating our activities on to the one site, we will be able to strengthen our offer and improve the student experience.

This decision forms part of a set of wider moves on the Medway campus with the School of Sports and Exercise Sciences also moving to Canterbury. The University remains committed to Medway and is currently developing its programme offer in response to current student demand.

Current Medway students have been contacted and will have the opportunity to discuss the changes in a series of webinars. Applicants to the Medway degree programmes have also been contacted and given the option to start their courses in Medway or move to a Canterbury-based degree.
