The School of Computing is recruiting a Computing Learning Coordinator. This is a flexible, part-time role for a Computer Science graduate.
The post holder will devise, develop and run workshops on the Triesman Model – which has documented success with minority groups. Such workshops would involve engagement with non-textbook, non-routine Computer Science problems to model approaches to success, and to encourage the formation of positive self-help groups. It is expected that this will be of particular relevance to students who are either from less academically focussed schools or are first in their family to take up a university place and do not necessarily have equivalent access to background material or study environments.
