The second Medway Research Festival took place at the Pilkington Building, Medway campus on 10th September. The Festival was based around a series of short presentations, discussions and demonstrations from research staff and students from the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University and Greenwich University, which share the Medway campus.
The School of Computing displayed its research activities on Unconventional Computing via memristor, Brain Computing and Big Data.
Head of School Professor Frank Wang, Dr Peter Rodgers, Dr Caroline Li, Dr Fernando Otero and other colleagues represented the School of Computing.
Professor Philippe De Wilde, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise at Kent, commented favourably on the School’s research especially the work of Leon Chua an EC Marie Curie Fellow at Kent Computing.
The festival was an opportunity to hear about the research going on across the campus, to foster collaborations within and between the universities, and to further develop the research culture on the site.
