MINIMUM 50% TURNOUT REQUIRED FOR STRIKE ACTION.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Why you should vote?<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

V<\/span><\/strong><\/em>oice<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 <\/b>Voting will strengthen your Voice<\/b> enabling UCU to negotiate effectively on pensions, workloads, pay and equality locally and nationally.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

O<\/span><\/strong><\/em>ppose<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 We Oppose<\/b> harmful and ineffective changes.\u00a0 The pension strike in 2018 led to the Joint Expert Panel which stated that our pension is viable with lower contributions than those now being rolled out.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/b><\/span><\/em>urnout<\/em> \u2013 A Turnout<\/b> of 50% is required for strike action to be lawful.\u00a0 Not voting hinders the threshold being met.\u00a0 A strong turnout will enable Kent UCU to negotiate from a position of strength.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

E<\/b><\/span><\/em>quality<\/em> \u2013 A strong vote in support of action will enable us to campaign on Equality<\/b>, workloads, precarious contracts, and erosion of real terms pay.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

VOTE by 28<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup><\/span> October.\u00a0 The 2018 strike showed what can be achieved through collective action.\u00a0 We can do this again.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
