{"id":123,"date":"2016-11-09T10:15:14","date_gmt":"2016-11-09T10:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ucuuok\/?p=123"},"modified":"2016-11-09T10:15:14","modified_gmt":"2016-11-09T10:15:14","slug":"tackling-problems-at-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/ucuuok\/2016\/11\/09\/tackling-problems-at-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Tackling problems at work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As personal caseworkers for the UCU branch, we are often told by members that they are reluctant to use the formal grievance procedure.<\/p>\n<p>UCU officers have worked with Human Resources (HR) on a guide to the\u00a0informal options staff have when there&#8217;s a problem at work.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This has now been added as a staff guide to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/hr-staffinformation\/policies\/dignity.html\"> Dignity at Work policy<\/a>.\u00a0Please have a look at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/hr-staffinformation\/documents\/policies\/dignity\/Our%20People%20Practices-%20Dignity%20at%20Work%20%E2%80%93%20Staff%20Guide.pdf\">specific staff guide.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We commend this document to members and suggest you\u00a0consult it if you\u00a0find yourself\u00a0in difficulties.
