I am a Senior Pharmacist and the Medication Safety Officer at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.<\/p>\n
I completed my first degree in Microbiology and then studied Pharmacy. After qualifying and registering as a practicing pharmacist, I started my career working as a hospital clinical pharmacist in the NHS. Over the last 15 years, I have worked at three different NHS hospitals during which I have taken up different roles including specialist roles, leading and managing teams.<\/p>\n
My professional interest is in leadership and quality improvement. I am an avid football fan and enjoy all forms of outdoor activities.<\/p>\n
Achievements<\/strong><\/p>\n

- In my role as lead Antimicrobial Pharmacist, I helped my organisation in implementing the antimicrobial stewardship programmes and achieving the national CQUIN targets<\/li>\n
- I lead the designing and development of a clinical pharmacy service within the surgical directorate in an hospital<\/li>\n
- As independent pharmacist prescriber, I have been running my own independent clinics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
What attracted you to the Kent MBA programme and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Kent Business School is triple accredited and the MBA Programme is well recognised for its quality. I like the way the programme is designed particularly the combination of academic teaching and application to practice.<\/p>\n
I found out about the MBA programme through my workplace and the University’s Senior Leader Apprenticeship Programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Aspiration<\/strong><\/p>\n
On completing the MBA programme, I will be looking to take up the role of a Chief Pharmacist in the NHS or similar senior management positions outside of the NHS<\/p>\n
