Before university, I worked as a production manager, leading on marketing, client and brand onboarding, campaign delivery and production operations.

I am also co-founder of Bloesems, a sustainable handcrafted personal-care start-up in India. Building this venture has reinforced my ambition to become a more capable, commercially minded and values-led entrepreneur.

Elected as Kent Students’ Union President, I represented over 14,000 students across Canterbury and Medway. This role included serving as a trustee, director and University Council member, giving me experience in governance, strategy, stakeholder engagement and organisational decision-making.

Currently, I am working as a Conversion Assistant within the International Recruitment team at the University of Kent, building further experience of engaging prospective international students and supporting recruitment activity.

Top achievements

Professionally I’m proud to have been elected Students’ Union President. I have worked with university leaders, local and national partners, staff and students to ensure that student priorities are heard in the institution’s highest decision-making spaces. I am also proud of the practical impact I have been able to make through campaigns, representation and governance. Balancing my roles as a trustee, director, student representative and team leader has accelerated my understanding of organisational strategy, financial oversight, people management and accountability. These experiences have shown me that meaningful leadership is not only about speaking for people, but about listening carefully, bringing stakeholders together and delivering sustainable change.

Why did you choose the Kent MBA?

I chose the Kent MBA for its practical approach, including immersive projects, coaching and collaborative learning. I want to strengthen my business knowledge while applying it to real challenges, as I learn best by applying ideas to real situations. I also value the University’s diverse and international community. My background in law, governance, recruitment, retail and entrepreneurship would allow me to bring a distinctive perspective to the cohort. I am equally keen to learn from peers with diverse professional and personal experiences.

MBA goals

My goal is to become a stronger, more confident and commercially capable entrepreneur. I want to deepen my understanding of strategy, finance, operations, marketing and project management to grow Bloesems sustainably. I also aim to strengthen my analytical skills, make more data-informed decisions and build a strong professional network. I am keen to build lasting relationships with peers, mentors and industry professionals who will challenge my thinking and broaden my perspective.

What are your aspirations post MBA?

After the MBA, I intend to grow Bloesems into a scalable and sustainable personal-care business, expanding its market reach while maintaining a responsible business model. In the longer term, I hope to create opportunities for women who want to enter entrepreneurship but may lack access to networks, confidence or practical support. I am passionate about building an ecosystem that connects women entrepreneurs with mentorship, learning opportunities and commercial networks. My aspiration is to build a successful business while using that experience to help others build theirs.

The best lesson you have learned in business?

The most important lesson I have learned is that uncertainty is inevitable, but progress comes from staying adaptable, making thoughtful decisions and bringing people with you. Trust, communication, resilience and continuous learning are essential to leading through change and are often what turn uncertainty into opportunity.

Tell us something about you that may surprise your colleagues?

Outside work, I have recently started learning to DJ. I also enjoy photography, hosting and bringing people together. I’m a serious coffee enthusiast!

My background spans law, entrepreneurship, retail, marketing, student leadership and international recruitment.
