Marcus currently heads up the Enterprise and Commercialisation group within the University of Kent\u2019s Research and Innovation Support (RIS) directorate. The group works with our world-leading academics to help turn innovative ideas and technologies into new products and services; offering advice and support on all aspects of intellectual property (IP) commercialisation.<\/p>\n

His background is in formulation engineering, having spent over ten years\u2019 in corporate research in diverse roles from physical chemistry, encapsulation, and technology incubation. He is also named as a co-inventor on eight patented technologies and holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering awarded by the University of Manchester.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Top achievements<\/h3>\n

  1. Appointment as a director of University of Kent spin-out (Metrarc Ltd).<\/li>\n
  2. Creation, strategic vision and leadership of a team of eight multi-disciplinary scientists charged with developing a mechanistic understanding of fragrance and technology performance.<\/li>\n
  3. Committee member for the Formulation Science and Technology Group (FSTG); 2009-2013. The FSTG is a subject group of the Royal Society of Chemistry and is the leading scientific organisation dedicated to product formulation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What attracted you to the MBA programme at Kent Business School and why?<\/h3>\n

    I found out about the programme through a colleague and was attracted by its reputation and location.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
