MBA 2022, India
Eeshan is an engineer by education and profession, looking to expand and foray into the world of business. Having worked in a tech start-up for the last five years, he says he realised that there exists a very exciting world out there full of opportunities for those with the skills and the will.
‘The quote by Sathya Nadela (below) perfectly summarises my way of thinking. It is exactly what I’ve been doing too – I decided to pack up and move to a completely new country and do my MBA so that I can work in a completely new industry altogether. Keep learning and changing myself constantly are the words that I live by.’
Achievements
- Set up and ran a start-up for five years with no business know-how
- Steered the company through the challenging Covid-era and ensured smooth completion of projects despite insurmountable odds
- Brought in new businesses by integrating AI and ML into the company’s systems
What attracted you to the MBA programme at Kent Business School and why?
The syllabus content, the location and the triple accreditation. I want to achieve my dreams and ambitions – both long-term and short-term goals.
Aspiration
I plan to work as a business consultant or in a hedge fund for 2-3 years, and gain enough business experience before foraying into the world of business with a start-up of my own. Although I’m from a tech background, I’m confident by the time I finish this MBA programme, I’ll have the confidence and skills to be comfortable in running a start-up in any field and be successful at it.
Advice
Go for it – and go big while you’re at it.
“Longevity in this business is about being able to reinvent yourself or invent the future.”
– Sathya Nadela
