What attracted you to the MBA programme at Kent Business School and why?

The ability to use the Level 7 apprenticeship funding to combine the Senior Leadership Apprenticeship with the MBA made KBS a very strong option. Coupling that with the triple accreditation made the decision to join KBS much easier.

What are your motivations for undertaking an MBA

I have always worked in not profits or the public sector, and so have little understanding about how for-profit businesses operate. I feel I have a gaping hole in my knowledge about the world of business strategy, communications and innovation that I would like to plug. In the future I would like to explore how to better support the spin out of small technology projects from academia / NHS into fully fledged businesses.

What are your future aspirations?

I don’t know where the future will take me, and am OK with that. I have always enjoyed seeing what opportunities open up for me as I learn new things and network with new people. So I will wait to see what unfolds and make the most of all opportunities that are presented.

In the future I would like to progress into a senior leadership role would also like to try and build a tech incubator within my own organisation, or work in technology consultancy supporting organisations to upskill their workforce.

What is your best advice for those wanting to progress in business?

You will never have all the answers. Listening, learning and adapting to what you hear Is crucial. That doesn’t mean you have to do what others tell you, but that you need to be sure that you are making informed decisions.

An inspirational quote of your choice that reflects and supports your ambition.

The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing.
