I am the CEO of a Sports equipment company called ‘Blue Earth’ based in Japan. I have designed and imported outdoor sports equipment like bicycles, bullet trains and cameras from China for more than 15 years. My professional interest is to make my brand globally recognised.

Outside of work, my hobbies include travel, photography and cycling.

Achievements

  • In 2013, I received the iF Design Gold Award at the Taiwan Cycle Show, which is showcased all over Japan
  • In 2015, I launched the new outdoor company called ‘EIGHT Corporation’, our team grew to have five staff and sales about £1.5 million annually, becoming a famous Camp brand in Japan within three years
  • 2020 I created my brand and sold it in five countries around the world

What attracted you to the Kent MBA programme and why?

The high ranking of the University in the UK. It is a relatively new school, so I can study an MBA with new ideas. Its’ proximity to Europe allows me to make new friends with students from all over the world.

What were your motivations for undertaking an MBA?

I want to expand my brand globally.

Advice

Don’t be afraid of tradition, don’t be afraid of losing, challenge yourself and get closer to your goals.
