I am an Assistant Revenue Manager at my State Internal Revenue, an Assistant Director at an approved learning provider of ACCA and the founder of BooksbyEMO, an indigenous picture story book company.

I started off my career as an Office manager in an entertainment company and moved to oil and gas as an internal auditor, worked as a treasury officer before becoming an accountant in the downstream sector of the Group business segment, I have however worked in the public sector in the last decade.

My career interests involve teaching, accounting, auditing, governance and strategic change management and decision making.

Outside of work, I love to read, write, advocate on social issues, travel the world and dance.

  • Obtaining a commendation letter after submitting a comprehensive analysis of my companies’ financial position using analytical procedures

What attracted you to the Kent MBA programme and why?

Several factors attracted me to Kent, the most important one is the location and proximity to family, however the icing on the cake is the top rating and the AMBA recognition that KBS has. The diversity of the team and students also contributed to my finally decision.

What were your motivations for undertaking an MBA?

I have sufficient knowledge and experience professionally and academically, but I wanted to horn my business management skills so I can make better strategic decisions and contribute to management decisions more effectively, as well as successfully run my book business and expose my self to international best teaching practices.

Aspiration

I hope my MBA, can help me hone my strategic management skills and knowledge, create an international network of friends and colleagues as well as open my eyes to global corporate best practices.

Advice

If you have an inspiration to start a business, however how new and unfamiliar, you should learn the business and do not be afraid to go into uncharted territories.
