What attracted you to the Kent MBA programme and why?
I believe the Kent MBA is a perfect match for me as it blends all of the skills required to become an innovative entrepreneurial leader capable of expanding and leading a business globally. My decision to pursue the MBA was accentuated by my desire to be part of an internationally recognised and top global institution like Kent Business School.
I am confident it will equip me with the necessary skills to effectively manage my business as well as the NGO and help me to expand my business to a global market and forge long-term business collaborations.
I would like to improve my entrepreneurial skills and take advantage of additional programmes that are on offer like ASPIRE, Pitch It and the Business Start-Up Journey.
What were your motivations for undertaking an MBA?
My interest in the Kent MBA derives from my vast experience of management and the launching of my Cybersecurity tech venture and a non-profit organisation: Women in STEM.
I have worked in Government and Defence sectors for 20+ years, where I performed both technical and management roles. I am aware that the success of projects and ventures rests not only on the technical knowledge but also on effective management knowledge and skills.
My motivation for doing MBA is to work for communities and sustainable development by applying innovative technology solutions.
Aspirations
I intend to learn modern business management skills and knowledge and blend it with my engineering and technology expertise to make a mark in innovation and entrepreneurship for sustainable development and employment generation. I will apply the business management skills for expanding my business to global markets and would like to join UN as a consultant for innovation for sustainable developments.
Advice
There is no shortcut to success. Stay focused, be persistent, be agile and believe in yourself and your team. There are rough days which surely pass, so don’t lose the track. Consider setting and achieving small incremental goals.
