London – United Kingdom
The Kent MBA 2017
(Full-time)
“Be smart, be authentic and be diligent.”
I hold a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow. After leaving university in 2010, I co-founded a retail fashion company Miss Shorthair Ltd., and have since worked to build this up from a local market business into a wholesaler of ladies fashion scarves. Our brand has become very popular in the UK. We now supply to TKMAXX and we employ six staff and export to Ireland, Italy and Germany.
In my spare time, I like snowboarding and playing squash.
Experience
In addition to being Co-founder and Director of Miss Shorthair Ltd., in 2016, I joined HSBC as a Personal Banker. Working for HSBC has developed my skills in banking regulations and customer service.
Aspirations
Building my business has developed my interest in financial markets and economic trends. I believe the Kent MBA programme will help me refine my expertise and equip me with the skills I need to take my business to the next level.
Advice
Be smart, be authentic and be diligent.
Do not worry too much when you make a mistake. Most of the time, the biggest problem is yourself.
