The European Network Kent (TENK) is a new network for staff and research postgraduate students from across the University. It’s an independent network whose purpose is ‘to celebrate European cultural diversity and identity in a supportive network with a voice’.

In practical terms, TENK aims to deliver within these four areas:

  • European culture, identity and diversity
  • Support and community
  • ‘Rights and facts’
  • Socials

The Network has members from almost 20 countries, including the UK, and the membership is almost 50/50 Professional Services and Academic staff. New members are always welcome; the more the members the better the opportunities for the network.

Suggestions for events are always eagerly welcomed, as are talks, if there are any events with a European dimension that colleagues would like an audience for or could recommend.

The Network equally welcomes offers to lead a subgroup within it, focused on a particular interest or area. Do get in touch if you might consider this; chances are that others just might share your interests!

Please email EuropeanNet@kent.ac.uk for more information or to sign up.
