Will the Library close?

No! We expect all our services to continue operating during the project although their location may vary. Service times may need to alter on occasions, but we will endeavour to provide the same level of service as we do now.

Will I be able to find a study space when the work is in progress?

We currently provide 1,100 study spaces within the building and we are working towards providing at least this number during the project. We are looking to develop new exciting study spaces outside of the Templeman Library and providing suitable signage and information to help students find appropriate space when they need it. Will there be better facilities for postgrads in the new library?

Facilities for all users will be improved as a result of the project and the new library will provide upgraded postgraduate facilities including remodelled study carrels, a dedicated postgraduate study space and a much enhanced special collections reading room, seminar room and exhibition space.
