The University of Kent welcomes Bethany Dawson as the T-PIKE Knowledge Exchange Officer.
Bethany Dawson is Kent’s Knowledge Exchange Officer for T-PIKE. She works closely with the other Eastern Arc Universities on the operational running of T-PIKE to enhance knowledge exchange and professional development for Kent’s Research Technical Professionals. Bethany started her career as a secondary school English Teacher but prior to joining Kent in 2025 she worked in EDI at University Arts London. Since 2019 Bethany has also been a part of the editorial team for Feminist Encounters: A Journal of Critical Studies in Culture and Politics.
Bethany will be an integral part of the Operational Team for Eastern Arc’s EPSRC funded Technical Platform for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (T-PIKE). T-PIKE is a part of EPSRC’s Strategic Technical Platforms that will develop training on innovation and knowledge exchange, work with industry to create placements, offer career development opportunities for those within the sector, and champion the work of technicians. T-PIKE was crafted by and for technicians, the Technical Platform for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (T-PIKE) goes beyond a traditional program, it’s an exchange where university and industry technicians share wisdom, shaping a new era of technical collaboration, skills and opportunities. From seasoned mentors to aspiring innovators, T-PIKE nurtures every participant’s potential. The project is being led by technical staff from each of the Eastern Arc universities.
