Internship

Studio Three Gallery is looking for motivated summer-term (6 May – 14 June) interns.

In the internship you will:

  • provide administrative, logistical and organisational support to the gallery curator,
  • update the Kent Print Collection catalogue,
  • assist with planning and researching next year’s exhibition programme, and
  • have the possibility to develop your own curatorial ideas.

Studio 3 Gallery, in the School of Arts, presents an outstanding programme of exhibitions and events open to the public. Our next exhibitions are: ‘Female Nude: Ways of Seeing’ (9 – 26 May) and ‘Catching Flies’ (7 June – 31 July). Studio 3 Gallery also manages the Kent Print Collection, a growing collection of prints from different periods and styles of art.

The internship takes place over the summer term (29 days maximum). Depending on your availability you can work full-time or part-time. Most of the time you will work in the Jarman Building, sometimes in the Library or from home. The internship is unpaid but we will reimburse your travel and/or other direct expenses related to the internship (up to 300 GBP in total).

To apply, please email a cover letter and CV to Eleen Deprez. As part of the selection process you may be called in for an interview. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email us studiothreegallery [at] kent.ac.uk
