Organised by KLS and overseen by Dr Suhraiya Jivraj, <\/span>the conference takes place on Wednesday 20th March and is open to students and staff from 1:00pm<\/span>\"\"<\/a>University of Kent Students of colour will be launching their #Decolonise University of Kent Manifesto<\/span><\/strong> using data collected through focus group cafes with students discussing their experiences of belonging and inclusion\/exclusion in the classroom and on campus. Specific themes covered included ableism and racialisation, international students’ experiences, minoritised religion and PREVENT as well as decolonising the curriculum more generally.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Decolonise University of Kent students will give their recommendations and be in conversation with a number of leading academics\/activists in the field. It’s going to be informative, transformational and creative!<\/span><\/p>\n
