A representative from the Student and Learning Advisory Service gave a brief lecture on the scheme before the SECL mentors attended. Each mentor introduced themselves and the subject they represented.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess-news\/files\/2016\/10\/academic-peer-mentoring-image-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-299\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess-news\/files\/2016\/10\/academic-peer-mentoring-image-1.jpg\" alt=\"academic-peer-mentoring-image-1\" width=\"538\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess-news\/files\/2016\/10\/academic-peer-mentoring-image-1.jpg 538w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess-news\/files\/2016\/10\/academic-peer-mentoring-image-1-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 538px) 100vw, 538px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the lecture the students had the opportunity to network with the mentors over lunch, which was greatly appreciated.\u00a0 The mentors wore brightly coloured t-shirts so that they could be easily identified.
