{"id":200,"date":"2015-12-21T16:20:03","date_gmt":"2015-12-21T16:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess-news\/?p=200"},"modified":"2016-01-12T09:25:52","modified_gmt":"2016-01-12T09:25:52","slug":"medway-school-of-pharmacy-the-pharmacy-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess-news\/2015\/12\/21\/medway-school-of-pharmacy-the-pharmacy-debate\/","title":{"rendered":"Medway School of Pharmacy: The Pharmacy Debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pharmacy Debate<\/p>\n<p>MPSA attract over 50 students for their first debate<\/p>\n<p>21st December 2015<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.msp.ac.uk\/student-life\/mpsa\/index.html\">Medway Pharmacy Students&#8217; Association\u00a0<\/a>(MPSA) had great success last week (17.12.2015) with their first ever &#8220;Pharmacy Debate&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Over fifty students from all years and degree programmes filled Pilkington 008 to discuss the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Should the NHS redirect funding towards the treatment of diseases which have reduced \/ have no influence from the patient such as genetic diseases and mental health and away from &#8216;lifestyle-related conditions&#8217;?<\/li>\n<li>Should the number of graduates be reduced, if so, how?<\/li>\n<li>Should the CPD programme be replaced with a re-accreditation exam every 3 years?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event came with snacks and lots of social media activity.
