The Student Success Team’s Systems Development Manager, Alison Webb, has been redeveloping the Virtual Student Advisor (VSA) and is now at the stage of testing prototypes with users. We need your help in this incredibly exciting stage of the process and would greatly appreciate half an hour of your time reviewing the prototypes and providing feedback. We are looking for feedback from both staff and students to enable us to make better development decisions in the months ahead before releasing the final VSA.
The new VSA is a potential successor to the ‘MyDot’ VSA which was developed several years ago. It is a bespoke in-house online application which presents resources to students in a consistent way based on identification of their needs, rather than where those resources sit within the University structure. It provides quick, coordinated access to information for staff and students and aims to direct them to the most relevant resource in 30 seconds.
If you’d like to have your say on how the VSA will be designed then email studentsuccessproject@kent.ac.uk and we will send you further instructions. It should take roughly half an hour to complete and we are very grateful for your time providing us with valuable feedback.
The deadline for feedback is the 25th June 2021 so please contact the Student Success Team by the 18th June 2021 if you wish to participate.
