The Student Success Project in collaboration with School of Sports and Exercise Science were delighted to host Reuben Arthur, Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist and Goldsmiths University of London Alumnus who co-presented a Welcome Week Workshop. The workshop “Project managing your degree: vital tips aimed at achieving academic success” was a great success and provided students with the opportunity to speak to the British male sprinter who specialises in the 100 metres.
Reuben was a relay gold medallist with England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He represented Great Britain in age category competitions, including the World Youth Championships in Athletics, World Junior Championships in Athletics, European Athletics Junior Championships and European Athletics U23 Championships. He won his first international medal at the 2017 European Athletics U23 Championships, taking a sliver with the 4 × 100 metres relay team. He went on to study at Goldsmiths, University of London and has now completed his undergraduate degree, achieving a “good degree”.
