Medway School of Pharmacy: The Pharmacy Debate

The Pharmacy Debate

MPSA attract over 50 students for their first debate

21st December 2015

The Medway Pharmacy Students’ Association (MPSA) had great success last week (17.12.2015) with their first ever “Pharmacy Debate”.

Over fifty students from all years and degree programmes filled Pilkington 008 to discuss the following topics:

  • Should the NHS redirect funding towards the treatment of diseases which have reduced / have no influence from the patient such as genetic diseases and mental health and away from ‘lifestyle-related conditions’?
  • Should the number of graduates be reduced, if so, how?
  • Should the CPD programme be replaced with a re-accreditation exam every 3 years?

The event came with snacks and lots of social media activity. To see the tweets, visit their twitter page.

There will be more debates in term 2, so watch this space!
