You should never give a caller your bank details. Please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukcisa.org.uk\/studentnews\/1221\/Chinese-students-beware-of-WeChat-scam\">read this warning from UKCISA<\/a> about this particular scam.<\/p>\n<p>If you receive an unexpected email, phone call or letter from someone claiming to be from the Home Office, be careful, as it may be a scam. The Home Office has issued <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/frauds-tricks-and-scams\/fraud-tricks-and-scams\">new guidance <\/a>on how to protect yourself from tricks and scams.<\/p>\n<p>Some students have been tricked into paying large sums of money to fraudsters.
