Many companies offer an ASYE Year (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) for Newly Qualified Social Workers, which aims to provide additional support during the first year of employment and to develop skills, knowledge, and experience.<\/p>\n<p>You could work in the Public Sector for local government or the NHS, or within the private sector for a registered charity.\u00a0 Agency work is also available.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><u>Do I need a qualification? <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To practise as a social worker, you must be registered with Social Work England. To register with Social Work England, you first need to successfully complete an approved degree or postgraduate programme in social work. Courses take three or four years full time.
