Although gaining a degree will show an employer that you are an intelligent and able person it is not enough to simply rely on your academic achievement to be an attractive future employee.\u00a0 \u00a0Your academic study will build many useful skills but employers also want you to have awareness of the working world; commercial awareness i.e. an insight into the things that influence their sector\/work such as political, economic, social, technical, environmental influences);\u00a0 skills such as resilience, communication, problem solving; and, they want you to be interesting.\u00a0 \u00a0The last point is important – don’t just spend your time studying and building your work experience also have fun – take part in societies\/have interests and enjoy your time at university.<\/p>\n
