Have you ever done any bush craft activities? Here’s an opportunity to shape our local landscape and learn new skills<\/p>\n
Here at Kent, we want to provide opportunities that engage students with the wild landscape of our Canterbury campus, we’re lucky to be surrounded by trees and fields, and lots of spaces to engage with nature.<\/p>\n
The College and Community Life Team need your support in transforming an area of our campus woodland into a haven for bush craft and mindfulness activities. Working together, we can ‘Create a Space’ for current and future students to support outdoor education and wellness.<\/p>\n
What does the project involve?<\/strong><\/p>\n Come along on the 15th or 18th March either from 10am to 12pm; or 1pm – 3pm to use your body, your imagination and meet others who want to be outdoors. You will help to clear and sculpt the allotted space, build a fire pit area, and assemble some fire pit benches, but ultimately you will have an opportunity to contribute your ideas and gain physical landscaping experience in a friendly group.<\/p>\n How do I join?<\/strong><\/p>\n No experience is necessary, and tools and instructions will be provided so there are limited spaces – simply sign up for your preferred session slot via TARGETconnect<\/a> using your Kent logins, and we’ll see you outside Sibson caf\u00e9 to walk to the woods together!
